Our review of the John Crane Wooden Acorn Garage 

This nicely made wooden garage is designed and manufactured by John Crane Ltd - one of the UK's leading wooden toymakers. It is principly made from rubberwood - a carbon friendly wood that would otherwise have been burnt. The ground floor features fuel pumps, a car wash and a lift up to the top floor parking area. From there, a ramp leads down to the first floor parking area. There are five really sweet wooden cars supplied and the garage is large enough for more than one child to play with. We feel that the lift is a good idea as it adds an option for interactive play. It is large enough to be able to be played with easily but not so large that it gets in the way.

The garage is nicely painted in bright colours and features a separate sign detailing the services available. There is even a mechanic's ramp, in case any of the cars should 'break down' just like mum's or dad's has.

Our verdict: There is nothing not to like about this wooden garage. As the design is fairly simplistic, it would perhaps suit the younger child better, but will soon become much loved and will very likely be passed down the family.
