Our Review of the John Crane Pintoy Wooden Fire Engine with Ladders

We have always been highly impressed by John Crane Pintoy toys. Beautifully made, mainly from sustainable rubberwood, their toys are made to last and could well be passed down the family over the years. The rubberwood is from rubber trees that have stopped producing rubber and would otherwise have been burnt, so John Crane Pintoy toys are locking up the carbon for a lifetime. Wooden toys are so much nicer than plastic. They are tough and are much less likely to break. This lovely fire engine is just the right size to delight any little boy or girl and comes complete with ladders. If you already have a doll's house, then get some Pintoy fire fighters to go with the fire engine and let the fun start. The fire engine is finished in fire department red and comes complete with play hoses for interactive play. The ladder, the cab roof and the truck roof lift off to give extra play value as well

Our verdict: Well made and very well designed by John Crane for years of happy service. It feels solid and chunky and is obviously built to last. Any little boy or girl will be thrilled to receive this delightfully made fire engine. Our tip - buy the optional extra fire fighters from Amazon for extra play value.

Description: This wooden emergency fire services vehicle is perfect for reaching those tall towers and top floors with its own wooden extendable ladder. This set comes with a hose and nozzle plus a connecting hose making them long enough to get to all those hard to reach places. A beautifullly made wooden toy, set to become a family heirloom. I would have just loved one of these!

The top of the fire engine and the back comes off to allow more creative play for budding young  fire-fighters! This is an ideal accessory for any of one of the Pintoy or Tidlo fire series range or to use with the Woodlands dolls house.
