Honeywell HT900E Turbo Fan

The Honeywell HT-900E Turbo Fan is an upgrade on HT-800E

Consumer Research concluded that quiet and power rank first. The Honeywell HT-900E Turbo Fan is an upgrade on HT-800E turbo fan with it's quiet and powerful blade. This fan has achieved an even quieter output with a noise reduction of 25 per cent

on the previous model. The powerful three speed fan allows you to choose your desired air flow providing you with optimum coolness, and the variable tilt with 90 degrees pivot means you can direct air flow at different angles and into different spaces.

There is a wall mountable feature on this fan which means you can mount it on the wall and save floor or desk space, please see the images above for an example of how this could look. This feature could be really useful for an office or living space - keeping it out of reach of children also should this be necessary.

Customer review on Amazon UK
Stand by your fan - and tell the world you love it. . .

After much persusal across the internet for a decent fan and after reading all the great reviews left by fellow Amazonian shoppers, I bought this fan so that it can be easily picked up and moved around the house wherever needed during these humid days and nights we've been having lately. I have been using it for two weeks now before posting this review. I have uploaded a few pics of it delivered, how it tilts and the build quality. . .

Upon delivery (well packaged) I was pleased to see that this 'requires no putting together'. This comes fully constructed - no messing around - take out the box - plug it in and go!

I have gone for this one as firstly Honeywell have a great name in industrial applications, secondly - the build quality here is first class (given the pricepoint in my humble opinion). Yes it is plastic but it is solidly made indeed, lightweight and somewhat impact resistant. The stand (which has keyholes for screw/wall mounting) is spot on and the power cord is around 6 feet long. The power/fan speed dial is on the back as is a built in carry groove. Groovy!

That's it! This is a simple no gimmicks fan.

In use . . .So, we've been using this for two weeks now and it has been quite warm and muggy during those two weeks here in Liverpool.

Plugged it in and switched it on . . .there's three speeds I-II-III.

I - Cool light breeze. You can definitely feel it cooling the room down.
II - Stronger breeze. You know when you can feel wind blowing past your ears? Well you will get that effect from around 7 feet away.
III - A stiff blow! Oof! A good blast of air here which in my experience can cool a room around 20 x 15 ft down comfortably on a hot day.

How loud is this fan?

Not loud at all! It's surprisingly quiet and on level III you can watch the telly very easily without having it too loud. My telly volume goes upto 60 and I usually have it on 18. With this fan an full I have it on 20.

What I love about this fan is the cleverly designed front grill! When you turn it on you might think it's not that powerful! But it doesn't need to be as the grill creates a vortex of air spiralling outward getting wider. This works really well. Also there's no way you can get a finger in here unless it's a s thin as a lolly ice stick or ice lolly if you speak proper like.

The fan is tiltable and has five positions from straight ahead to pointing up at the ceiling.

This has been a welcomed addition in our house lately and everyone has been comfortable from being that bit cooler over the last few weeks. Long may it continue!

I will of course update this review if anything crops up.

Breezily recommended ????

Update 3/4/17 - Got the fan out of the shed today as it is warm-ish! Yes the first signs of summer are here! Plugged it in and off it went whirring away - no issues at all - as good as the day it came out of the box. Here's to a 70's kind of summer!
